SERIES FIVE: THE SAMURAI SPIRIT

One of the designer’s favourite books is a book on Japanese Prints published by the German publishing house, Taschen. As she revisited this book yet once again, she was intrigued by the prints of Samurai warriors in the book. The overall collection takes direct influence from the Samurais’ outfits in terms of the loose silhouette, the layering of pieces, and the mixing of prints. The designer was also inspired by a common lesson shared by some of the best Samurais through time: “the secret to always being your best lies in being calm”.
